URGENT NEED: Foster or Adopter This cute guy is a goofy, silly boy that has lived outdoors his entire life. Angels to the Animals has been helping to care for him over the past 6-7 years, and we estimate his age to be around 8 years old. He is a big boy, weighing around 90 lbs. and is pure love. Afro just wants to be a lap dog! He loves to chase a ball, but isn't so good about bringing it back, but will roll over on it. His owner allowed one of our volunteers to bring him home a couple of nights when we had some pretty severe weather, and he never had an accident in the house. When we have taken him out, he pretty much ignores other dogs, so we can't say for sure how he would do with another one, but would suggest perhaps a low key female as a companion. He does chase cats, so he shouldn't be around them. Due to his size, we suggest no children under teen years. Afro's family has moved into to an apartment, so volunteers and neighbors are now caring for him. He needs a foster immediately. Afro is neutered and up to date on all vaccines and monthly preventatives. We plan to have him bathed and cleaned up before he goes to his new home so he is sparkling and shiny!

URGENT NEED: Foster or Adopter Batman was rescued from a life on a chain but still lives outdoors. He's a goofy, older guy with lots of love and life left and is good with other dogs and children. Fully house-trained, he’s looking for an indoor foster or an adopter who doesn't have the feline kind. He'll make you giggle with his wiggles.

URGENT NEED: Foster or Adopter Maverick makes the perfect companion for indoor cuddles and outdoor adventures! He has had training and walks and jogs well on a leash – his trainer said he was one of the easiest dogs to work with. Maverick is fully house and crated-trained. So please, give this deserving boy a chance by either fostering or adopting him. He needs a new foster by January.

Zula is affectionate, athletic, loyal, gentle, quiet and very smart, loves to bask in the sun, play fetch and tug of war, and is great with older children. If you've ever had a Boxer, then you know the joy and laugher they bring. Zula is all that and more! She is also crate-trained and sleeps all night long. Zula needs an active person or family who will play with her and take her for nice walks. She's everything a loyal companion should be. She needs a new foster as soon as possible.

New to our rescue but I can't imagine he will last very long! He checks every box but one! He is not yet neutered. But we are getting him scheduled! ✅ 8 mo old, 45.lbs ✅ Beautiful brindle markings ✅ UTD on vaccines ✅ House-broken ✅ Has not been destructive (but does like shoes!) ✅ Does well on leash ✅ Get's alone beautifully with other dogs ✅ Cats unknown ✅ Based on what we can see, he should get along with kids but he is still a puppy so probably older dog-savvy children best Buddy is a sure winner!

Welcome George to the Angels crew! He came to us in June of this year a little fearful, but has been settling in with her foster. Unfortunately, George is heartworm positive, so we are working to get him schedule for treatment. His foster says he is a sweet little guy. We are still learning about him, so we will provide more details when possible. More to come!

Say hello to Lucy, a charming young pittie mix who has recently become part of the Angels crew. At about 6 to 8 months old, Lucy has already shown her affectionate and playful nature, making her a delightful companion. Lucy came to us September after her previous owner could no longer care for her. She was quite skinny at the time, but with the love and care from her foster Mom, she has blossomed into a happy, healthy pup. Fully vaccinated and soon to be spayed, Lucy is ready to find her forever home. This smart and friendly girl is house and crate trained, and she loves all people. Lucy is kid friendly, but would do best with older kids due to her size and strength. She’s also know the 'No" command is learning to sit on command. Lucy is also working on leash training, showing her eagerness to learn and please her human. Lucy’s favorite activities include playing fetch and enjoying outdoor playtime, but she also loves to cuddle up with her person afterward. Even though she’s playful, Lucy enjoys her downtime just as much as her playtime. Lucy has been taught not to get on furniture or beds and not to jump up onto people, and she doesn't bark much at all, displaying her good manners. She also finds her toys completely irresistible, and will chew them up or pull them apart, especially the stuffed ones. While we’re still learning about her compatibility with other dogs, one thing is certain: Lucy’s affectionate nature and loving personality will make her a wonderful addition to the right family.

Garth's ready for his forever family! His foster says, "On a scale of 1 to 5, Garth's a 5 on crate training, potty and basic commands like 'sit' and 'lay down.' She says when she tells him to 'crate,' he will go right into his crate. His foster finds his leash walking skills okay, but has been working with him on it. She says Garth is very smart and loving. He loves a good belly rub, and is very social. Garth also gets along with her two large dogs. Garth is a puppy, so he a lot of energy. He is kid friendly, but would do best with older kids due to his age and energy.
